Emerald Palmer

June 22, 2012
While you suckers are at work right now reading this, my family and I are up in Michigan having an amazing time swimming, boating, grilling, and playing way too much Just Dance.
Also, thanks to the great people at Sazerac, I am drinking some of their lovely Rain Organic Cucumber Lime Vodka in an Emerald Palmer with my feet dangling in the water. Sigh, Puuuuuure Michigan (Tim Allen voice never gets old).
An Emerald Palmer is the perfect light summer cocktail. Add in the smoothest vodka I have ever tasted and you don’t even notice you are drinking a cocktail!
I don’t mean to rub it in. I just really needed a vacation and maybe needed to brag about it for a second.
Ingredients (Makes 1 Cocktail)
1.5 Ounces Rain Organic Cucumber Lime Vodka
4 Ounces Green Tea, cold
2 Cucumber Slices
1 Teaspoon Lime Juice
2 Mint Leaves
2 Ounces Seltzer Water
A Handful of Ice
Combine the vodka, green tea, cucumber slices, lime juice, and mint leaves in a blender. Puree for a minute. If you do not like a lot of material floating in your cocktail, strain out the mint and cucumber bits.
Pour the vodka/green tea mixture into a glass with ice in it. Pour in the seltzer waterand stir. Garnish with a slice of lime and cucumber.
All of the opinions in this post are solely my own. I was not paid by Sazerac. I was generously given some of their products to taste test.
