Peach Vodka Lemonade

Lemonade is already a summer staple. Why not add a little peach infusion along with some vodka and make the best summer cocktail ever? Peach vodka lemonade is perfect for summer poolside sips.

Back in my college days, me and my two best gal pals used to trek across campus for vodka-lemonade Fridays. If you are thinking this was some big soiree, think again.

My friend had a massive crush on this guy (I mean we were in our early 20’s, pretty much everything had to do with a guy). Said guy lived in the good dorm building in the center of campus with the really good food court and dining hall.

Our dorm building was a mile away, about a 15 minute walk. We lived in the oldest, cockroach-iest dorm buildings with all the student athletes. Not a bad gig to live around football players for your first year of college, but when you had that 7:30am lab…. that morning walk was brutal.

Every Friday me and my friend would go for moral support to this guy’s dorm room. He had the best posters, Christmas string lights, and best jam band mix cds, just like every college kid thought they did back then.

Vodka lemonade Friday consisted of a giant Igloo cooler with the little spigot on the bottom, filled to the brim with Countrytime powder mix, a handle of vodka and Normal, Illinois’ finest tap water.

Classy, right?

And us dummy freshmen loved every second of it. We would sit around playing card games and listening to music until the pm turned to am. Then we would walk that mile back to our dorm at a way quicker pace, because it was now dark and scary outside.

We have all done dumb things for people we were interested in at one point or another. But, vodka lemonade (despite the poor quality of the vodka and lemonade) was never one of those things.

I have now upped my vodka lemonade game with Sutter Butte Peach Cocktail Mixer. I love to do the whole homemade simple syrup thing, but this takes the time out of prep and pours it into having more relaxation and enjoyment time.
