Over one year of taste-testing and I finally compiled my list of the best frozen pizzas out there! All sorts of frozen pizzas from all sorts of grocer’s frozen section.
I have been eating frozen pizza my whole life. I only started documenting it over on Instagram a little over a year and a half ago. We have discussed and rated a lot of pizzas on Frozen Pizza Friday.
I always forget the standing of my pizza preferences.
My apologies if you are a Frozen Pizza Friday regular viewer and this doesn’t exactly line up with what I have said in the past.
I blame all this time at home for breaking my brain a little bit.
Now we have a reference that I can add to and adjust as we work through another year or more of frozen pizzas.
I am truly shocked we haven’t run out of pizza choices yet.
Mike suggested I rate the pizzas on a scale of 1-5, one being the worst and 5 being the best.
All the pizzas listed here received a 5 or something we like to call “The Golden Pepperoni” award.
THE TOP TEN BEST FROZEN PIZZAS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM:
- Lou Malnati’s Deep Dish (Spinach, Cheese, Sausage, or Pepperoni) – Order directly from Lou’s Online (The top spot goes to Lou’s because their frozen pizza tastes just like it came out hot from the restaurant).
- Heggies Pizza – Get them locally in Minnesota, Iowa, or the Dakotas or order from Goldbelly (Tastes just like delivery tavern style pizza. Amazing crust, cheese, and toppings).
- Digiorno Crispy Pan Pizza – Most grocery store chains (Detroit-style like pizza with a lot of crust and a caramelized cheese edge).
- Aldi Specially Selected Mozzarella, Cherry Tomato, and Arugula Pizza – Aldi (This pizza had the freshest tomatoes and arugula. I always keep an eye out for it).
- Home Run Inn Classic Sausage Supreme Pizza – Most grocery store chains (Can’t beat this buttery salty tasting crust).
- Jack’s Original Thin Crust Mexican Style Frozen Pizza – Most grocery store chains (A Mexican pizza that has enchilada sauce instead of pizza sauce is clutch. You can also easily grill the pizza).
- Trader Joe’s Trader Giotto’s Pizza Crust – Trader Joe’s bread section (This is my favorite crust to use for any home creation pizzas).
- Mama Cozzis Take & Bake Southwest Flatbread – Aldi refrigerated section (The flatbread and all the toppings are so full of flavor).
- Eastside Cafe Supreme Pizza – Midwest region Whole Foods (Quality cheese, meats, and sauce that tastes fresh and smells great).
- California Pizza Kitchen BBQ Chicken – Most grocery store chains (The best BBQ chicken frozen pizza out there).
I do my best to find all the pizzas you guys tell me about. We even tried a bunch of ready made doughs, pizza dough kits, pizza rolls, calzones, and pizza bagels.
I have so many pizzas to choose from that I was even able to create an honorable mention list. This should be helpful especially now, given that so many people are staying at home and opting to bake frozen pizzas instead of ordering.

- Jewel Signautre Select Chicken, Bacon, & Ranch Flatbread Crust – Jewel (One of my favorite combinations on a frozen pizza. Try this if you are looking for something new).
- DeLallo Pizza Dough Kit – Order directly from DeLallo or Amazon (Uses classic Neapolitan pizza flour so it tastes super authentic and the crust making directions are easy to follow).
- Milton’s Craft Bakers Roasted Vegetable Cauliflower Pizza Crust – Costco (The easiest and crispiest crust without stinking up your house from the cauliflower).
- Stonebaked Sourdough Crust Hot Honey Pepperoni and Chili Flake Pizza – Kroger/ Mariano’s (This pizza is for the spice lovers).
