You asked for it! A complete guide to Thanksgiving side dishes which includes old favorites and a few new fun twists on classics. Look no further for everything you need to complete your Thanksgiving dinner menu.
Over on Instagram I asked my followers what they were still searching for to complete their Thanksgiving Day menu. The choices were sides or apps/drinks. The side dishes won by a slim margin.
That leads me to believe I should do an appetizer and drink round up as well. What do you think?
This round up today has it all. I tried to stick to the basics that can be found around my family’s holiday table. We always have a potato or two if you count sweet potatoes in that category.
There is always something green like a salad, slaw, or veggie.
My mom likes to toss out a pasta dish in case there are any picky eaters or kids afoot.
You will also need a few casseroles and of course a stuffing or dressing. If you aren’t doing the canned stuff, you might also need a good cranberry sauce recipe.
The recipes below in this list of Thanksgiving side dishes use everything from the stove-top to the slow cooker, oven, or Instant Pot. I tried to keep it varied because I know that oven space is sacred turkey domain.
